A Visit from Jan Part 1

Ronnie's mom, Jan, came into town on Saturday. Here are some highlights from the visit so far:

  • Saturday - Ronnie getting lost to and from the airport in Raleigh, NC. Jan flew into Raleigh by accident, but it is only a couple of hours away so Ronnie and the kids drove up to get her.
  • Saturday - Ebby worked until 12:15 a.m. for SOS, therefore she missed out on the fun of getting lost to and from the airport. Actually we wouldn't have gotten lost if Ebby had been with us. (Ebby wrote this...Ronnie doesn't agree!)
  • Sunday - A little sleeping in followed by an afternoon at the beach. Everyone, including Jan, did a little swimming in the ocean...until we saw a small shark and EVERYONE swam for the shore. No one was bitten, and all children made it home safely.
  • Monday - While Ebby was slaving away at work and the kids were stuck in school Jan and Ronnie went out on a 5 hour Casino Cruise. South Carolina doesn't allow gambling so you have to take a boat 3 miles out to international waters to do any gambling.
  • Monday night - Eating a little to much (ok way to much) food at seafood buffet restaurant. Very delicious...very stuffed.

That is most of what has happened this weekend. Lots of laughing...some cribbage (Jan and Ronnie are tied at 2 games each)...lots of food...more laughing....great time had by all! I mean, come on, it's Jan after all!

We will let you know what happens later over the next two days later.

BIRTHDAY UPDATE! 3 more shopping days until Ronnie's birthday.

Every one thought Ebby was obnoxious about her birthday. Ronnie is ridiculous!!!

I have decided that Ronnie is directionally challenged. Jan got to see parts of NC that even the natives don't know exist....

Hey Ray Fam! I love your blog. We miss you guys. We never did get to play that last game of Mexican Trains. Boo! Maybe you can visit the Kits in FL when we make it out there too and we can have a Mex Trains reunion. :)

Can Tara make it, too. That would be awsome. Soryr we didn't make it a point of getting together before we left. Things were moving quite fast and we barely got the house packed. :)

We miss you!!

I admit it. I am mildly directionally challenged. But, as with most things in my life, I'll get us there. However, it may not be the same way everyone else gets there.
